About Drawing 4 life

Instructor and founder, Susan Buroker is an exhibiting artist. Her paintings, sculptures, and puppetry have been exhibited throughout the country and in England. Susan holds an MFA-IA from Goddard College and an undergraduate from Parsons School of Design.

Drawing 4 Life focuses on after-school art classes for kids 6-15 and offers private adult classes at various times.

“I started on – line zoom classes during the Covid pandemic lockdown. I wanted to offer students a way to be creative in a community, where kids could be interactive with one another“, says Ms. Buroker.

Susan created a nurturing environment where students were able to interact with one another through multiple discussions.

“It was a natural progression to open my studio to students when the lockdown was lifted”, says Susan.

As the founder of Drawing 4 Life, Ms. Buroker’s goal is to always have a child’s needs and interests be her number one priority while nurturing their individuality. Classes are kept small to provide each child with personal attention and inspiration. Each class is custom created to meet your child’s needs.

“Learning through play” opportunities enhance children's mastery of academic concepts and build motivation to learn. In fact, two of the most important things that play can develop are interest and motivation. Encouraging these in the early grades brings children on board in contributing to their own learning.
